Debate thoughts…

I only got to watch about a half an hour of the debate, because I was at work and I’ve only been able to catch soundbites of the post-debate coverage. I saw that Ron Paul was winning the text-message poll on Fox News, but from what I saw that couldn’t possibly be. I thought Mitt outperformed everyone tonight; Fred also did well and Rudy was on-point too. These three men have set themselves apart from the field.

Mitt has proven himself successful against strong democratic opposistion, if there is any such thing.

Fred has stood strong on his conservative principles, and Rudy is by far the most well known candidate.

With these three men bouting for the nomination, the race will certainly be interesting as we approach the primaries.


Fred Thompson on FOX

Fred is rocking the GOP debate right now. Not to mention he’s the tallest candidate, if that matters. He has been on point and those “pregnant pauses” have been few and far between. I think he’s been clear on the issues and he has reiterated his principles. He also dropped this bomb on democrats:

“…they [democrats] will lead us down the road to a comfortable mediocrity and that is not the America I grew up in.”

Bravo, Fred, Bravo.
