Fred Thompson is announcing a plan taking away federal grants to sanctuary cities and increasing the enforcement of existing laws. It will also announce a call for new laws requiring employers to verify that large numbers of workers aren’t illegal.
We’ll have to wait and see what the plan specifically entails, but as far as I can tell this is the first plan announced by any of the candidates to combat illegal immigration. Â
